High-quality data and statistics are key to making informed decisions. The OSI has a responsibility to ensure that methodologies for producing, collecting, managing and reporting represent best data and statistics practices. Alberta’s rates of employment, unemployment and participation were revised marginally for the period between 2001 and 2014, as part of Statistics Canada’s standard revisions to the Labour Force Survey estimates.
